Birch and Oak Interior Surfaces
Natural birch and red oak interior surface panels are fabricated using 1/4" thick interior grade veneer core hardwood plywood.
Interior veneers are rotary cut whole piece, rotary cut book matched or plain sliced book matched depending on panel length.
Red oak interior veneers are free of sap woods.

Fiberglass (FRP) and Poly (HDPE) Interior Surfaces
Fiberglass interior surface panels provide .030" white textured fiberglass laminated to Douglas fir exterior grade plywood.
Poly interior surface panels provide .015" white matte poly laminated to Douglas fir exterior grade plywood.
Fiberglass and poly surfaces are available smooth and in other colors and thicknesses.

Panel Cores
Cores for Nu-Bay panels are either Douglas fir exterior grade plywood or Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) foam. (Extruded foam cores are available.)
Core thicknesses are selected to meet the overall thickness of the specified finished product.

Panel Backs
Panel back surfaces include Douglas fir exterior grade plywood, .013" white stucco embossed aluminum, .030" white textured exterior fiberglass, or .015" white matte exterior poly (HDPE).
Aluminum, fiberglass and poly backs are available smooth and in other colors and thicknesses.

UA-USES, APPLICATIONS

Nu-Bay panels provide an ideal solution for head and seat board needs in the manufacture of bow, bay and garden style windows.

Nu-Bay panel hardwood interior surfaces may be finished using most commercial finishes. Finishes including ferrous compounds should be avoided over oak unless filler is applied.

Nu-Bay panel backs with aluminum, fiberglass, or poly surfaces resist mold, mildew and ultraviolet discoloration when exposed to the elements.

TS-TECHNICAL SUPPORT

Due to the nature of the component parts used in the fabrication of these panels, moderate bowing of the finished product may be experienced.

Thicknesses specified for the panels are nominal. Plywood manufacturing tolerances may result in thickness variances of +1/32" to -3/32".

Approximate insulating properties for any panel may be determined by allowing a Thermal Resistance (R value) of 1 per inch for the wood component including any facing material plus 4 per inch when EPS foam cores are included. Example: R value for F3P375-F75-ME2P375 is approximately 3-3/4 (3/8 - 1 + 3/4 - 4 + 3/8 - 1).

Due to the nature and composition of these panels which in combination are not considered hazardous, a Material Safety Data Sheet (M.S.D.S.) is not required. Each panel is considered to be an "article" as defined in 29 CFR 1910.1200(C).
